The National Human Rights Council (CNDH), in partnership with the Junior Chamber International Rabat (JCI RABAT), organized on October 18, 2024, its fourth session of its "Let's talk about human rights" workshop series on the rights of persons in a migration situation.
Facilitated by Mrs. Aurélie Eragne, Head of the CNDH Department for the Protection of the Rights of Foreigners, the workshop focused on fundamental concepts related to migration, international standards for the protection of the rights of persons in a migration situation, and the national context of migration in Morocco. The session also provided an opportunity to shed light on the role and mandate of the CNDH in the field of migration.
These workshops are part of a broader initiative aimed at enhancing capacities and understanding of young people regarding human rights. They also seek to raise awareness about the current challenges related to universally recognized human rights principles.
These workshops will continue until 7 November 2024, taking place every Thursday. They are part of a joint project between the CNDH and the JCI Rabat Association designed to empower young people in the field of human rights. Participants will be equipped with the necessary tools to become active and committed actors in civil society.
