In order to strengthen the protection of human rights, the Council carries out any mission to prevent torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment. Likewise, in order to achieve the same objective, the Council examines cases of violations of children's rights and the rights of people with disabilities.
To this end, the following national mechanisms have been created at the Council, as part of its missions to protect human rights:
