Mr. Mohammed Charef, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Souss-Massa, is a specialist in geography and construction, and an expert in migration, population mobility and urban development. After graduating from the Regional Institute of Planning of Aix-en-Provence (IAR), he held a PhD in Geography of Planing from the University of Poitiers (1986) and a PhD in Science from the Free University of Brussels (2000). Mr. Charef is Professor of Geography at Université Ibn Zohr, Agadir, Director of the Regional Observatory of Migrations Spaces and Societies (ORMES). Mr. Charef is an associate member of the MIGRINTER-CNRS Poitiers team, France, and is a member of several networks and associations in the field of geography. He is also head of  the Master "Migration and Sustainable Development". He is Member of many councils and scientific bodies, including the Scientific Council on "History of migration", at the Cité nationale de l'histoire de l’immigration, Paris. Mr Charef has several publications on population and development, including: "La circulation migratoire marocaine un pont entre deux rives”,”Grands traits et impacts des transports sur la mondialisation de l'émigration marocaine”, “Un aspect méconnu des vieux émigrés-immigrés: la transnationalisation”, “Les migrations au féminin”, “Les flux migratoires et la protection des réfugiés au Maroc: défis et perspectives”, “Migrants acteurs de développement local, perspectives et limite”, “Le migrant marocain acteur d'intégration économico- socio-spatiale du Maroc au delà des frontières”, etc. He is a Visiting Professor at several foreign universities, including: Université Aix-en-Provence, Université de Metz in France, Université Saint-Joseph in Beirut, Université de Poitiers, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (Free University of Brussels), University of Texas at San Antonio, etc. He is also a consultant and expert on migration issues for the United Nations Population Fund, the Council of Europe, the United Nations Population Division, the Council of the Moroccan Community Living Abroad (CCME), etc.

Mr. Mustafa Laarissa, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Marrakech-Safi, was born in 1955 in Marrakech. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the Sorbonne University (Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne).Mr. Larissa is a qualified university professor at the Université Cadi Ayyad in Marrakech, Faculty of Arts, Department of Philosophy. He is also a member of the Political Analysis Club and member of the Fondation Abderrahim Bouabid. Mr. Larissa is also a member of the multidisciplinary laboratory "Culture, Heritage, Tourism" at Université Cadi Ayyad and a contributor to several scientific journals.

Mrs. Fatima Aarach, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Draa-Tafilalet, was born in 1963 in Taza, Morocco. Mrs. Aarach is a Lawyer. She holds a Bachelor degree in private law from Mohamed V University in Rabat in 1992, and a certificate of competence to practice the legal profession. Mrs. Aarach is the head of the Réseau des Associations de Development de Sud-Est (RADOSE). She is also the Secretary-General of the Union de l’Action Féministe (Women’s Action Union), Errachidia section, and a member of the local coordination for the Reparations Program in Errachidia, Morocco. She is also responsible for the Center “Help" for women victims of violence and children in the region.

Mrs. Saadia Waddah, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Casablanca-Settat, holds a bachelor’s degree in law. She is a lawyer in the Bar of Casablanca (Barreau de Casablanca). She was previously a member of the Council of the same Bar between 2000 and 2003. Mrs. Waddah is a former member of the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH) in 1992 and was also a member of the Comité de coordination du Tribunal des femmes arabes contre les violences envers les femmes (Coordinating Committee of Arabic women Court against violence towards women) in 1998. In 2000, Ms. Waddah chaired the Association marocaine de lutte contre la violence à l’égard des femmes (Moroccan Association against Violence towards Women). Then, in 2003, she became a member of the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH). Mrs. Waddah is a founding member of the Arab Women Lawyers Forum in Bahrain. She has contributed to several books, including a book “l’enfance violée” (rape childhood) for the Centre d’écoute et d’orientation juridique (Legal Aid and Counseling Center), “Le harcèlement sexuel” (sexual harassment) for the Association marocaine de défense des droits des femmes (Moroccan Association for the Defense of Women's Rights), “La violence à l’égard des femmes : quelle protection juridique ?” (Violence against women, legal protection), and a legal guide on personal status, “Marriage-divorce” for the Association démocratique des femmes du Maroc (Democratic Association for Moroccan women).

Mr. Ahmed Taoufik Zainabi, Chairperson of the CNDH's Regional Commission of Beni Mellal-Khenifra, holds a PhD in Geography and Spatial Management. He is former Director of Promoting Human Rights Department at the CNDH.

Mrs. Houria Tazi Sadeq, Chairperson of the Council’s Regional Commission of Rabat-Salé-Kenitra, Lawyer, University Professor, and expert in water and sustainable development issues.

Mr. Abderrahmane Lamrani, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Fez-Meknes, Professor at Université Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah, Fez, Morocco and civil society actor.

Mr. Mohamed Amarti, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of the Oriental Region, was born in 1957 in Oujda, Morocco. He holds a PhD in Law at Université Mohamed V in Rabat, and works as a Professor of higher education at the Faculty of Juridical, Economic and Social Sciences at the University Mohammed Premier Oujda. Mr. Amarti is Director of the Laboratory for Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. He is also a member of the National Council of the Moroccan Organization for Human Rights (OMDH) and the Association marocaine de droit constitutionnel (Moroccan Association for Constitutional Law).

Mrs. Soulma Taoud, Chairperson of the CNDH’s Regional Commission of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, was born in 1957 in Ksar El Kébir, Morocco. She is a University Professor and founding member of Amnesty international Morocco.She obtained a Bachelor degree in Physics, Division of Nuclear Physics, from the Faculty of Science at Mohammed V University in Rabat, Morocco in 1981. Mrs. Taoud also obtained a PhD in Material Science from the Central School at the Université de Nantes, France, in 1989. Mrs. Taoud is a Professor in the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science and Technology, Tangier, Morocco. She is a founding member of the Applied Physics Laboratory at the Faculty of Science and Technology of the same faculty.

Mrs. Najoua Achrki, a member representing the Ombudsman Institution.

He is a Moroccan writer and researcher. He is a Professor specialized in Islamic philosophy and logic philosophy.He taught at several universities, such as the Université Paris-Est Créteil, the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Institute of Political Science in Paris), and at Vrije Universitieit Brussel (the Free University of Brussels). He is interested in analytical philosophy, and specializes in logic and the works of Frege, Russell and Whitehead. He is also interested in Islamic medieval philosophy.Mr. Ben Makhlouf was awarded the Ordre National du Mérite (France) by the Minister of Education (Vincent Peillon) in March 2014. He published several books on philosophy ,among which: “Pourquoi lire les philosophes arabes?” (Why read Arab philosophers), “La conversation comme manière de vivre” (dialogue as a way of life), etc.

Mr. Abdelkerim Elaazani is Judge and member of the Supreme Council of the Judicial Power.
