The second ordinary General Assembly of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH), held from 6 to 8 March 2020 in Rabat, Morocco, unanimously approved the report of the CNDH on the protests of Al Hoceima and recommended its publication as soon as possible.
This report includes 400 pages. It addresses several axes such as: defining the concept of “Al Hoceima protests”, the chronology of Al Hoceima protests: 28 October 2016 - October 2017, disrespecting the freedom of belief and worship, claims of Al Hoceima protests, freedom of expression and assembly, allegations of torture and cases of violence, trial of persons prosecuted following Al Hoceima protests, analysis of social media comments on Al Hoceima protests, the CNDH’s interaction with detainees and their families, general conclusion and general recommendations.
Due to its volume, the CNDH is publishing it in parts. Below are the general introduction, the conclusions and recommendations of this report, etc. (Available in French and will be translated in English soon).
