Commemorating International Human Rights Day and within the framework of the 22nd National Campaign for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Girls, as well as in line with the implementation of the roles of the Legal Clinic at the Higher School of Technology in Laayoune, Morocco, the Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH) of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra and the Higher School of Technology in Laayoune will organize a conference on "Combating Domestic Violence: Realities and Prospects" on Friday, December 13, 2024, at 10:00 am, at the Higher School of Technology in Laayoune.

This conference aims to shed light on the phenomenon of domestic violence, its causes, and its severe impact on society, while fostering dialogue on mechanisms to combat domestic violence. It will examine the challenges related to the effectiveness of punitive laws and national strategies to combat violence, as well as explore ways to raise community awareness.

Representatives from various relevant institutions, including the judiciary, education, training, health, authorities and civil society organizations will participate in this event.
