In commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, commemorated annually on November 25, the Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH) of the Dakhla-Oued Eddahab Region, in coordination with the Regional Coordination of the Social Development Agency, will organize several awareness-raising and training sessions. These events are scheduled for November 30 and December 1, 2023 at the CRDH headquarters in Dakhla, Morocco.
These initiatives are part of the twenty-first national campaign aiming to end violence against women and girls. The program will feature a round table discussion titled “Providing a Safe Environment to Protect Women and Girls from Violence," which will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 11:00 am. This event will also address the efforts of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) and its CRDHs in protecting women and girls from violence.
Participants will discuss several issues, including the judicial and legal protections available for women and girls, social initiatives to combat violence and the establishment of support services for victims. Additionally, challenges related to the protection of women and girls in public spaces will be examined, etc.
The program will also feature a workshop on "Equality and Gender Approach," which will be held on Friday, December 1, at 10:00 a.m. This workshop will be organized for civil society actors and members of Equality Bodies within elected councils at the regional level.
