On Friday, March 28, 2025, His Majesty King Mohammed VI renewed Ms. Amina Bouayach’s term as President of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH) of the Kingdom of Morocco.
The Royal Cabinet’s statement highlighted that this decision underscores a dedication to equipping the Council with the skills and expertise needed to carry out its constitutional role, given its vital responsibilities under the Constitution. The decision to renew the term of Ms. Bouayach also takes into account the national and international stakes tied to the missions of this institution.
It also reaffirmed His Majesty’s strong commitment to advancing and safeguarding human rights, and building on Morocco’s progress in this area.
