The Regional Human Rights Commission (CRDH) of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region is organizing a round table to unveil the findings of its study titled "Draft to Define the Effectiveness of the Right to Water in the Moroccan Context and Implications at the Level of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Region." The event will take place on Friday, July 12, 2024 at 2:30 pm, at Mohammed V University - Agdal, Rabat, Morocco.
This round table is part of the CRDH annual work plan, focusing on the issue of the right to water. The CRDH aims to share insights from its completed study, which seeks to establish a unified understanding of the effectiveness of the right to water, sanitation and sustainable development as a development vision. Additionally, the study aims to create a map illustrating the extent to which the region’s population has access to drinking water and sanitation services, while also identifying obstacles to the widespread availability of these essential services.
Participants in this event will include CRDH partners, representatives from relevant ministries, stakeholders in the water sector, UN agencies in Morocco, experts, donors, as well as civil society, university, CRDH members and representatives of various national media.
