The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) continues to monitor the calls for crossing and the attempts occurring in the M'diq-Fnideq region, as well as all related aspects and issues.
In this context, and in light of the data collected to date through social media monitoring and on-site observations conducted by the Regional Human Rights Commission in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima (CRDH) regarding the repeated crossing attempts—especially on September 15 in Fnideq—Ms. Amina Bouayach convened a meeting with the CNDH’s specialized teams on Wednesday, September 18, at the headquarters in Rabat.
Upon reviewing the preliminary findings of the monitoring conducted by the CNDH and its Regional Commission, and pending the results of the ongoing investigation overseen by the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Appeal in Tetouan, regarding certain incidents and images circulating, and in order to ensure justice for potentially affected individuals, the following decisions were made during the meeting:
- As a mechanism for redress and human rights protection, the CNDH calls on all individuals- adults and children-or their guardians, who may have experienced a violation of one of their rights, to reach out to the CNDH so they can be heard in the context of the investigations being conducted at both the central and regional levels.

- A dedicated team will provide support to the Regional Human Rights Commission in Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima in observing the trials of individuals who have been referred to the public prosecutor's office and are being prosecuted while in custody.
- The CNDH continues to monitor the digital space and social media platforms for both previous and new crossing attempts, considering the vast amount of information circulating—some of which may be accurate, while others could be misleading or false.
