The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) will organize a workshop to present the results of the study on access to justice for foreigners in Morocco on Tuesday 31 January 2023, at 9 am at the CNDH headquarters in Rabat, Morocco.
This study was conducted in partnership with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). It aims to identify the persistent challenges facing foreign litigants and develop recommendations to improve the effectiveness of access to justice for all.
Multidisciplinary actors will participate in this workshop. They will share and develop recommendations to support the effectiveness of the right to justice for foreigners.
Participants will focus on several axes, mainly: “Presentation of the study executive summary: Foreigners’ Access to Justice”; “Legal framework relating to foreigners' access to justice”; “Challenges of effective access to justice: GADEM experience”; and “Association Droit et Justice Experience on supporting and accompanying foreigners in their interaction with justice.”
Mrs. Amina Bouayach, CNDH Chairperson, and Mr. François Rebeyt-Degat, UNHCR Representative in Morocco will take part in the opening session of this event.
