Mr. Mounir Bensalah, Secretary-General of the National Human Rights Council (CNDH), along with members of the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Recommendations of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission, held a meeting at the request of a delegation from the Moroccan Forum for Truth and Justice, on Thursday, October 24, 2019.
At this meeting, which is the fourth of its kind in 6 months, stakeholders addressed several key topics:
• The CNDH informed the Forum about its process of updating technical data regarding supplementary retirement for victims who have received recommendations for social integration. The CNDH provided updates on the ongoing monitoring of the implementation of the recommendations of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission (IER). The Forum expressed its intention to prepare a report on the progress made in this area.
• The Forum discussed files submitted outside the deadlines set by the IER, reiterating its proposal to consider a limited list of cases that meet the established criteria. In response, the CNDH reaffirmed its previous commitment to advocate on behalf of these victims with the relevant authorities, seeking solutions for those who submitted their files late. This effort will be guided by a limited list proposed the Forum and reviewed by the Follow-up Committee in accordance with the IER standards.
• In line with the CNDH communication strategy with civil society,  the President of the Moroccan Forum for Truth and Justice confirmed that he, along with the Executive Office, is the official representative of the Forum.
