On the occasion of the fifteenth edition of the Casablanca book fair (SIEL), held on February 13 -22, 2009, the Advisory Council on Human Rights and the Council for the Moroccan Community Abroad (CCME) organized a joint stand on human rights and immigration.

On this occasion, the CCDH held several round tables and meetings on: “The right to education and human rights education”, “election follow-up: presentation of the CCDH report”, “historical context of gross human rights violations”, and “the CCDH annual and issue-specific reports”, etc.

The new CCDH publications are downloadable online at its website: www.ccdh.org.ma:

- The 2007 annual report on the situation of human rights in Morocco (available in Arabic);

- The report on the CCDH observation of the 2007 legislative elections (Available in Arabic);

- The historical context of the gross human rights violations: a study conducted by a group of researchers under the supervision of the working group on study and research of the Equity and Reconciliation Commission (IER) (available in Arabic);

- The protection of refugees in Morocco (proceedings of the round table organized in collaboration with the High Commissioner for Refugees on February 14, 2007);

- The role of national institutions in the independence of the judiciary (proceedings of the 3rd seminar of national human rights institutions in the Arab world (Rabat, June 12-14, 2007).
