The 17th issue of CCDH Newsletter sheds light on the Citizenship Platform for the promotion of human rights. A process of consultations and participative preparation with all stakeholders concerned preceded the implementation of this national ambitious project. The green light for the implementation of the Platform was given during a meeting held by the steering committee of Platform and the Prime Minister in last September.

During this meeting, the committee presented its plan of action to implement the Platform to the Prime Minister.

The Platform “aims to promote and entrench human rights values in the Moroccan society and ensure that all individuals enjoy these values, through its different activities, following three intervention levels: education, training and awareness”. The moment the implementation of the platform started is undeniably a very important moment in the process of human rights promotion in our country.

This issue highlights, as well, another important moment in the process of settling past grave human rights violations, particularly with regard to the preservation of history, memory and archive. Indeed, the Advisory Council on Human Rights signed a partnership agreement with the Ministry of Culture on the preservation of memory and archive and cultural rehabilitation in areas concerned by the community reparation program.

This 17th issue sheds light on the medical caravan organized in Tinghir by the Council in partnership with the Moroccan Medical Association of Solidarity (AMMS), to enhance health situation in areas targeted by the community reparation program.

Enjoy it!
